The Clínica Unión Médica was born from the initiative of a group of young doctors from this city, who had the idea of creating a project that was different from what had existed in the Northern Region up to that time. This idea began to become a reality in August 1994, with the construction of the Torre Clínica. The legal incorporation of the company was carried out on June 25, 1995 and in November 1997 is when it physically began its operations. Currently, it is an entity organized in accordance with the laws of the Dominican Republic.
